We need 200 volunteers for indoor and outdoor projects at our partner schools and local organizations in Maryland.
Purpose and Impact.
Missions Blitz is “Service to the Community” by promoting healthy life styles. This event allows for servants of our congregation to engage in a day of community service to the residents of Anne Arundel County, Montgomery County and Prince George’s County Maryland, as well as the District of Columbia. This has been woven into our 119th year old tapestry of traditions at the First Baptist Church, Inc., North Brentwood. Under the leadership of our Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Duane T. Kay, Esq., we are moving forward in faith to build upon our rich heritage.
Mission Blitz servants assist and serve multiple sites to help create a better environment for others, create healthier communities, spread love and show Christ through service. Over the past ten years of Missions Blitz we have impacted more than 10,000 lives in the Metropolitan area through food donations, providing meals, clothing donations, and beautification projects.
Mission Blitz Project Details
We are looking forward to the congregation participating in Missions Blitz 2026. We are looking for 200 + volunteers to go out and serve the community. Here’s a list of confirmed sites for 2026 and registration will begin today!
We are requesting that all participants arrive at the Church by 7:15 AM.
Breakfast served beginning at 7:30; Worship Service at 8:30 AM; and depart for Sites at 9:15 AM
Before registering, please see the list below to make sure they still need volunteers.

Organizations Purpose: To provide comprehensive and compassionate health care to sick, homeless persons in the District of Columbia, and to assist them in addressing critical issues to help break the cycle of homelessness.
What We Are doing to Support the Organizations Purpose: Assist with preparation, serving and cleanup after meals

Organizations Purpose: Comfort Cases inspires communities to bring dignity and hope to youth in foster care through comfort, community, character and compassion.
What We Are doing to Support the Organizations Purpose:Build backpacks filled with comfort and personal care items your youth entering the foster care system.

Organizations Purpose: Offers homelessness prevention support that aims to build lives with compassion by providing shelter to those as they transition toward employment, housing and self-sufficiency
What We Are doing to Support the Organizations Purpose: Prepare individual unbagged lunches to be hand delivered.

Organizations Purpose: To collect gently used clothing donations and non-perishable food items designated to support individuals at Martha’s Table
What We Are doing to Support the Organizations Purpose: Help sort and pack the items received.

Organizations Purpose: To bring cheer and happiness to FBCNB members.
What We Are doing to Support the Organizations Purpose: Making craft items as a heartfelt gesture

Organizations Purpose: Also known as the Kidzone, the children do arts and crafts and light snacks provided. For children ages 2 (potty trained) – 6 years of age.

What We Are doing to Support the Organizations Purpose: Prepare snacks and Missions Blitz fellowship meal. Answer phones and direct members to sites

Organizations Purpose: Global Resources believes that all people deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. Global aims to support those with intellectual disabilities and to help them feel included.
What We Are doing to Support the Organizations Purpose: Basic cleaning of client properties and Corporate Office

Organizations Purpose: The PG Transition House provides emergency shelter, transitional housing, meals and counseling services for men returning from being incarcerated and help them rebuild their lives.
What We Are doing to Support the Organizations Purpose: Prepare lunch or dinner meal to be hand delivered.

Organizations Purpose:A charity that eases the hardship of children’s illness on families through programs that directly improve the health and wellbeing of children.
What We Are doing to Support the Organizations Purpose: Make Grab-n-Go Bags, household chores and yard work.

Organizations Purpose: Provides structured housing and recovery services in an environment of support and accountability that give homeless or at-risk individuals who suffer from drug and alcohol addictions the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
What We Are doing to Support the Organizations Purpose: Meal Prep and Deliver. Make Hygiene Bags to include travel size Deodorant, Lotion, Soap, Toothbrush and Toothpaste.
